In this role, you will be broadly responsible for at least the following:
- Design, build and maintain distributed development tool, that integrates various various tools essential in Software development cycle and promotes developer collaboration.
- Design and develop highly scalable, optimized software components capable of supporting massive user base.
- Provide high impact, technical expertise to needy teams.
Required Background
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent (PhD a plus)
- Several years of software development experience (large scale internet products a plus)
- Strong programming fundamentals - algorithms, data structures.
- Solid in-depth experience with atleast 2 of these technologies - C/C++, Perl, Java/J2EE, PHP, Databases (Oracle, Mysql).
- Desired prior experience with XML webservices, SOAP, DHTML, javascript.
- Ability to work on multiple, large projects and context switch effectively between several critical projects.
- Prior participation in building open source applications in “free time” is a big plus.
- Prior experience building tools like sourceforge or savane big plus.
