I wanted to answer your question, though, about "why would anyone want to target happy families"... The usual answer to this question is that it is happy families who are usually in a position to affect change, by voting differently, complaining to the government about whatever policies are provoking the terrorists, etc. Also, for right or wrong, blowing up a bunch of crack addicts huddled together in a slum doesn't bring as much publicity and outrage, both of which are a terrorist's lifeblood.
